GENERAL INFORMATION
COVERAGE
This contract covers only the appliances and systems listed as covered
and excludes all others. Items must be in good working order at the
start of coverage and be located within the perimeter walls of the
home or garage and become inoperative due to normal wear. RPM will
not be responsible for service performed without approval and will
not reimburse you for unauthorized repairs. You must call RPM first
for service. Coverage is only provided for mechanical malfunctions
which occur and are reported to the company during the term of this
contract.
This is a limited warranty. For a complete understanding of coverage,
please be sure to read through the contract which defines your coverage.
CUSTOMER SERVICE
Telephone service is available twenty-four (24) hours a day, seven
(7) days a week. RPM will dispatch your call to an authorized contractor
within four (4) hours during normal business hours and forty-eight
(48) hours on weekends and holidays. You can reduce your inconvenience
and help expedite service by making your home available for repair
service during normal business hours (8-5 Monday through Friday). RPM
reserves the right to determine what repairs constitute an emergency
and will make reasonable efforts to expedite emergency service. Contract
payment must be received prior to service calls.
TIMING OF COVERAGE
No Charge Seller?s coverage for the listing period starts after the
application is received and continues until the expiration of the initial
listing contract (maximum 180 days) or until close of escrow or listing
cancellation, whichever comes first. No Charge Seller?s coverage covers
trade items 1-8 only with a one hundred ($100.00) dollar service fee.
Property must be occupied to be covered by No Charge Listing coverage.
Paid Seller?s coverage for the listing period starts after the application
and payment is received and shall continue for one (1) year or until
close of escrow, whichever comes first. In the event the property is
sold within the contract period, the contract will be transferred and
extended to the new buyer for one (1) full year from the date the property
closes escrow at no additional charge.
Buyer?s coverage begins at close of escrow and continues for a one
(1) year period.
CONDITIONS STATEMENT
Residential Property Maintenance, Inc., will fix mechanical breakdowns
in covered systems and appliances, which occur after the effective
date of coverage. Systems and appliances, which, at the inception of
the contact, need repair or are not in working condition, will not
be covered. These claims will be disallowed as pre-existing conditions
pursuant to the terms of the warranty contract. If a pre-existing condition
is diagnosed, and Buyer, Seller, Realtors, or Certified Inspector could
not have had any knowledge of such a condition at the inception of
coverage, it shall be covered.
